Information the app stores on your device
The following stays on your device and is not sent to us unless described below:
- Journal entries and the text you write.
- Your profile details entered during setup (for example your name and your goal).
- Goals, streak, and progress data.
- App settings, including your daily reminder time and, if you set one, a passcode.
You can remove this data by deleting the app.
Information sent for AI features (Pro)
The app has a free tier and a paid Pro tier.
Free tier
Reflections are generated on your device using a built-in method. Your entry text is not transmitted for free-tier reflections.
Pro tier
When you save an entry for AI analysis, or generate an AI progress report, the relevant entry text is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend and then to our AI processing provider, Anthropic, to generate the result. The result is returned to you and stored on your device.
We instruct our provider to process this text only to produce your result. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, inputs and outputs from the API are not used to train models. See Anthropic's privacy policy and commercial terms for detail. We do not attach your name or contact information to the entry text sent for analysis.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address to use the app.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use your journal entries for advertising.
Payments
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's handling of that information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Analytics and diagnostics
The app does not collect analytics or usage tracking.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. This is handled on the device and is not sent to us.
Children
Founder's Climb is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
- You can disable AI analysis by not subscribing to Pro or by not analyzing an entry.
- You can turn the daily reminder on or off in the app.
- You can delete all app data by deleting the app from your device.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information. Because your entries are stored on your device and not on our servers, the fastest way to delete them is to remove the app. For other requests, contact us at support@aspenapps.us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL.
